 Diana in  Australia  January 1988 **©Tracie Worthington

I took these two photos when I went to see Diana in January 1988 when she visited Australia. On the day Diana was visiting the Adelaide Festival Theatre. Later when leaving the centre she came over to us and so I was able to take photos up close of her. It was a great day I will never forget.

Diana attending a performance of  ’Tango Argentino’ at the Aldwych Theatre in London May 1991.  This was the first time Jennifer aka The Waxbitch got to see Diana in person.  This is what she had to say of the event:

“May 1991… The first time I saw Princess Diana in the flesh and close up was at the Charity performance of ‘Tango Argentino’ at the Aldwych theatre. I asked one of the photographers if Tim Graham was there. This lovely man then told me he was Tim’s friend and that, no, he wasn’t there. After some chit chat about how my brother had driven the bus for the British press (which includied Tim Graham) when the Duke and Duchess of York honeymooned in Canada, he unbelievably invited me to stand in with the photographers when the Princess left the Aldwych theatre. My photos are in bad condition because in my frenzy I opened my camera as she approached and exposed the film. SACRE BLEU!!!!” : (

Diana in Kingston, Ontario during her last visit to Canada October 1991.

Here’s what Jennifer aka The Waxbitch had to say of her encounter with Diana in her hometown……

“Fall 1991 Kingston, Ontario Canada. The Prince and Princess of Wales Canadian tour. They were actually coming to my hometown!!! I could not believe it! I got up at 4am and arrived at the farmers market to buy flowers. I found a spot along the walkway in Confederation basin that led to the front steps of City Hall. Around 10am the buzz turned to screams and cheers. I don’t even remember seeing Charles but quickly approaching on my side of the sidewalk was Diana. Then, all of a sudden, she was before me.”
