Meet the Peeple’s Princess!
The latest tribute to last year’s royal wedding has arrived – just in time for Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s first anniversary.
Featuring a fascinator-wearing Princess Beatrice and a train-holding Pippa (Peepa?) Middleton, the diorama is one of the finalists in the Washington Post‘s sixth annual Peeps Diorama Contest (the first-place winner’s creation was a take on the Occupy Movement).
The diorama, featuring mostly yellow Peeps, was created by Arlington, Va., masterminds Susan Arnold and her 17-year-old daughter Isabel. The pair used down-to-earth materials like tulle and paper for Peep Kate’s Alexander McQueen gown, but the most surprising tidbit is that neither Arnold nor Isabel woke up to watch the wedding when it aired.
Arnold told the Post, “We weren’t interested enough to get up so early.”
